The Grandview is one of the newest south-of-the-Strip Las Vegas vacation destinations. The amenities such as the large sundeck surrounding 4 outdoor pools, one with a waterfall, picnic area with bbq grills, Jacuzzi / hot tub, complimentary parking and in-room kitchens are such that this is also one of the hottest Las Vegas timeshare locations. Across the street is a hotel and casino offering bowling , movie complex, restaurants and even an equestrian center. No one buys into a timeshare unless it is a fabulous property such as this.

Timeshare vacations sometimes get a bad rap. When you come to Las Vegas it is very likely you will be approached with a "free" gift offer in exchange for taking the Grandview RCI sales presentation.  The small, usually under $100 "deposit" you make in advance always seems like a good deal for the free gift you are promised.

One problem is that you will lose your deposit if you don't stick it out for the minimum two-hour sales presentation. Some have reported  sales presentations lasting far longer than two hours.

What you must realize is that timeshare vacations only make economic sense if you plan to use ALL of the days available to you. Otherwise, it will likely cost you MORE to use the timeshare than if you just paid for the hotel rooms as you used them. Don't forget to factor in  the interest charges if you finance the timeshare purchase, plus there are yearly membership and maybe maintenance fees you must pay.

One way to avoid the hassles of a sales presentation is to just book a short stay there to see first how you and your family like the place. Regular rates are around $200 and $300 per night for a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment. Reserve your room here and the rates start around $100 and $140 for the same rooms. Save another 20% on those already low rates if you book a minimum 5 might stay.

If you like the Grandview at Las Vegas, consider buying a resale timeshare. People trying to sell their timeshares, for what ever reason, are willing to take less, and sometimes MUCH less than what they paid. This will also likely be less than what you would pay for a new, similar timeshare contract.
